Government of Pakistan has launched a program to teach IT skills to 200,000 youth every year. The scheme was announced by State Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal at a ceremony yesterday.
He emphasized that the initiative is an important step towards strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy and empowering the youth.
Iqbal said that imparting ICT skills to the younger generation would play an important role in the development of the country. The program is designed to prepare them for opportunities in the global tech market and help Pakistan thrive in the digital age.
Apart from promoting ICT education, the minister stressed on efforts to showcase Pakistan’s rich art, culture and heritage on the international platform. He said the creativity and talent of Pakistani youth played an important role in representing the country globally.
Iqbal also stressed the importance of the ongoing political dialogue to assure them of the government’s commitment to victory for the stability and development of the country
